Job Summary/Basic Function

The Student Media Relations Assistant position assists the Director and Assistant Directors with essential job functions such as archiving, record keeping, gameday statistics and other press row services. This position also assists with social media and video coverage of our athletics teams and assists with the marketing department.

Work Schedule
Varies based on athletic events. Evenings and weekends.
Work schedule will be determined by student availability and department needs.

Job Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Inventories and tags photographs in our online archive
2. Gathers historical statistics data and puts in our online archive
3. Tracks gameday statistics
4. Distributes gameday materials to the press
5. Uses social media to build excitement around the sports programs
6. Assists the video coordinator with interviews and live broadcasts
7. Assists marketing department with student orientation and other events to build student excitement
