SUMMARY
We are looking for a full-time Audiovisual Service Manager to work at the Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa and the Bahia Resort Hotel on Mission Bay in San Diego, CA.
The Audiovisual Service Manager is responsible for effectively guiding customers through event experiences, identifying solutions that meet their goals and objectives, resulting in a compelling event experience. Utilizes all available tools to ensure maximum event and revenue capture from assigned customer base. Cultivates and maintains relationships with key hotel personnel to enhance the overall business relationship with the hotel. Supports Company initiatives, business strategies and Core Values. This position reports to the Audiovisual Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Primary responsibility for sales at the property; generates quotes, corresponds with clients and targets revenue goals
- Works directly with clients to determine their meeting needs and perspective, and match to AV services and products
- Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
- Works closely with hotel sales staff and others to contact upcoming clients and secure AV business
- Ensures all event orders are up to date
- Attend site visits and pre-conference planning meetings as necessary to support the customer event experience
- Negotiates directly with clients to secure AV business and client vision
- Works closely with AV staff to consult on selection and acquisition of AV equipment and labor
- Follows up with all clients through thank you letters and post event service evaluations
- Supports the Director of Sales, the Director of Catering and Conference Services and their teams with any questions and/or advice
QUALIFICATIONS
- High degree of demonstrated customer service, sales, and hospitality skills. Proven experience in developing positive customer relationships and focusing at all times to increase customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with capabilities of audiovisual equipment, set-up and general operations.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, networking, IT device management, PC and Mac operations.
- Exhibits excellent communication skills, both oral and written is clear, concise, sincere and persuasive.
- Demonstrates creativity and initiative in capturing AV business.
- Possesses excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, sometimes stressful team environment.
- High degree of ownership and self-initiation skills as well as a positive professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to accommodate a changing work schedule (night, weekends, early mornings) as needed to meet clients.
- Ability to set an example for professional grooming and presentation standards as required by hotel partner/specific worksite.
- The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
