My client is looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to join their team. They currently leverage existing infrastructure for data lake and data warehouse technology and moving into AWS. The business continues to adopt a modern data strategy, the existing model poses additional challenges to scale. Migrating to AWS cloud infrastructure is a key building block to accelerate the Business technology modernisation journey. As an AWS Architect, you will be responsible for performing tasks in all areas of software development including application architecture, design, development, and database optimisation.

You’ll collaborate with some of the leading lights of the industry, gain access to cutting-edge technology, prototype new solutions and have the opportunity to make an impact that matters, through challenging projects which demand ambitious innovation.

The Role

You’ll design solution architectures for multi-tier, multi-channel, and enterprise scale systems. Work in a team environment and collaborate with all the project stakeholders including the Business Partners.

Design solution architectures for multi-tier, multi-channel, and enterprise scale systems. Lead and manage the TCS project team ensuring quality delivery.

Keep abreast of new technology development and implementation and Integrate with existing client technology solutions and platforms. Ensure that SLAs are managed to customer expectations. Collect metrics to ensure visibility on KPIs.

Experience Required

Experience in Data Migration process/techniques from HDFS to AWS S3. Experience in Component migration from on premises Hadoop to AWS and on Data ingestion processes/techniques (event based /time based).

Good experience with AWS building blocks – EC2, S3, Glue, Redshift. Some experience of Enterprise standard. Experience in AWS Related Components specifically IAM, VPC and similar.

Experience designing and implementing operational metrics (ingestion metrics, control metrics, replay actions). Experience on Effort estimation desirable.

Skills/knowledge

Proven leadership skills and an excellent track record of deliverables. Good presentation and user interface skills. Aptitude to learn new technologies (Snowflake, Informatica AXON) and implement optimal solutions to fit business needs. AWS Associate Solution Architect Certificate.

Good knowledge on AWS Security, Policies and Permissions. Expertise in Python Coding for scripting data design airflow data pipelines.
