This individual must have a proven track record of B2B selling to retailers with a focus on middle market retailers. This person will be responsible for effectively managing tactical business activity for the retail market on a daily basis. The B2B Retail Sales Account Manager will reach business targets through excellent telephone sales and communication skills. This individual will also develop his or her phone-based revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers. And assisting current customers with improving their online and store sell through rates. Some trade show travel will be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Grow sales and profits within the retail market using a large array of off-the-shelf and custom products, with a focus on our main retail product lines; Handi Treads, PetStep, & Biggies.
- Build strong knowledge of all aspects and features for Handi-Ramp’s products and pricing including marketing partners products.
- Develop, manage and grow accounts throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
- Assist with creating a strategic growth plan for all current retail customers.
- Make outbound calls to existing and potential customers via telephone and email to generate and close sales while also cross-selling and upselling products.
- Maintain timely and accurate sales reports and sales funnel. Review weekly/monthly sales results and compare against sales goals established for the period.
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices and prepare quotes, sales orders and/or reports.
- Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database.
- Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
Skills and Requirements:
- Must be a highly motivated and positive individual.
- Must have a proven track record of B2B selling to all size retail organizations.
- Must have a manufacturing background
- Exceptional listener with excellent time management, written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Good problem-solving and math skills.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas by generating and closing sales independently.
- High level of integrity and work ethic; self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Solid experience in opportunities qualification, pre-call planning, call control and account management.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or two+ years related experience in B2B retail sales required.
- Able to quickly build rapport over the phone with customers.
- Ability to identify and creatively solve customer’s problems.
- Some local and national travel is required.
- Compensation is a $50K base plus commission with NO CAP on commission
