Position Summary

A Benefit Analyst works in conjunction with the Benefit Consultant and Benefit Advocate to deliver proactive service to the clients of Pharos Employee Benefits. The Benefit Analyst provides quoting, spread sheeting and meeting material preparation to the client service team. The BA will be the responsible for building and updating the online enrollment platform. Benefit Analyst will regularly practice discretionary decision making. The product of this team partnership is intended to add value to the client, enabling the client to be competitive in their own industry. Benefit Analyst must contribute to and flourish in a team environment and engage in regular professional development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for obtaining quotes for all lines of coverage under the instruction of the Benefit Consultant or Benefit Advocate and preparing results for review
  • Responsible for becoming database report subject matter expert and able to design and produce reports as needed by EBS, BC and BA
  • Utilizes systematic, reproducible processes such as checklists, branded template documents to advance and support our service model
  • Create and update the online enrollment platform that clients use to process eligibility
  • Communicates thoroughly and clearly with all team members concerning workflows and projects
  • Utilizes internal database to thoroughly record and document client issues/discussions
  • Actively participates in internal meetings, contributing appropriately in a collaborative manner
  • Exhibits behavior with internal team, external vendor partners and clients that intentionally advances our culture.
  • Provides general office support
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (or its equivalent).
  • Strong working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint, online platforms, and database management.
  • Minnesota Life and Health license, or ability to obtain upon hiring.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with persistence to achieve desired result.
  • Clarity and accuracy are key.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully.
  • Strong organizational skills, including daily prioritization and logical thinking
  • Ability to build professional relationships with multiple levels of corporate environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
