The Benefits Analyst will be a part of the Benefits team and work closely with the Benefits Director. This position serves as an expert resource to employees of Central Services, parishes and schools to provide clarification and support surrounding benefit-related questions and concerns. Analyze, generate, process and prepare monthly invoices for 10+ benefit vendor for payment.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze employee benefit data and implement processes to improve data integrity.
  • Accurate updating of benefit information, audit review and plan updates.
  • Manage FSA and HSA plans, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Work with Sr. Benefits System Analyst to improve data processing and reporting for benefit plans.
  • Assist with HRIS system testing and change management of system implementations for benefits administration.
  • Assist with Annual open enrollment process, changes and contributions to vendors.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly benefit bills to 130+ locations.
  • Facilitate benefit orientation and enrollment for newly hired employees.
  • Prepare and process monthly, quarterly and annual check requests for benefit vendor invoices for payment.
  • Prepare quarterly Unemployment invoice for payment.
  • Assist with daily employee benefit questions and issue resolution.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in benefits administration
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically advanced Excel skills, and database management. Knowledge of UKG highly desired.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to understand benefit contracts.
  • Prior experience working with a large organization with multi-locations, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with internal partners and external vendors.
  • Experience with HRIS/HRMS systems preferably UKG
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRMS, and similar employee management software.
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving benefit policies.
