When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.Healthy Families, an intensive, comprehensive and long term home visitation program of Family Services, has an opening for a full time Bilingual (Spanish/Englisht) Family Support Specialist in Brown County. This position requires a High School diploma and experience or course work in the field of Social Work, Counseling, Early Childhood Education, Maternal-Child Health, Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention, Family Life Education, or related human service field. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
The ideal candidate must be able to: plan, promote, and facilitate positive involvement activities in and out of the home to emphasize a family approach to child development and parent interaction; work with a diverse population in ways that are culturally competent, nonjudgmental, and supportive; able to work collaboratively with community partners and manage a flexible schedule. Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish, both written and oral. A valid driver's license and own transportation are required. Knowledge of community resources to link families to appropriate services is a plus.
