A new permanent role has become available with one of Robert Half's client seeking talented Bookkeepers looking to join a growing organization! As the Bookkeeper you will manage full cycle A/P, data entry, and cash applications. As well, you will handle accounts payable, month-end closing, accounts receivable, and reconciliation. You should apply immediately if you're self-driven and an organized professional. Located in Rockville, Maryland, this Bookkeeper role will be a permanent hybrid opening.What you get to do every day
- Assist with monthly accounting close
- Sustain a general ledger
- Produce monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
- Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
- Assemble cash flow projections, as needed
- Work on special projects occasionally
- Guide monthly accounting close
- Knowledgeable in credit card management and reconciliation
- Complete Accounts Payable
- Lead Accounts Receivable
- Ready subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
- Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Previous accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
- Vow to meet business deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
- Administrative Assistance experience highly desired
- Foundational knowledge in QuickBooks
- Bookkeeping experience
- Command of Automated Payroll
- The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
