DESCRIPTION
Bookkeeper / Business Office Manager – Salary range from $21.20 to $30.45/hour
Full Time 40 hours Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Must have received the primary COVID vaccine series to work in Long‐Term Care
- Establishes and maintains patients’ personal accounts, receives money from family, resident or Social Services and deposits to aggregate account.
- Maintains electronic ledger of each patient’s records.
- Communicates any Medicaid approvals with MMQ nurse and Administrator so that appropriate documentation is obtained and MMQ is submitted.
- Cooperates with Corporate office, Administrator, and all other involved parties in the process of collecting monies owed to facility.
- Reconciles PNA account on a monthly basis and transmits annual PNA report to the state.
- Deposits checks and allocates to appropriate account in a timely manner.
- Receives payments from residents and/or family members and notifies corporate office of deposit.
- Transports deposits to the bank.
- May be responsible for securing information on residents financial status.
- May prepare Small Claims Court forms and represents facility at hearings.
- May be responsible for the Mass Health application process, as well as work cooperatively with responsible parties and outside agencies for the duration of the application.
- Prepares and maintains employee time cards and time sheets.
- Processes time cards: codes time cards, coordinates sick and vacation time with request slips.
- Compares actual worked hours to budgeted hours for each department.
- Generates weekly payroll report, obtains approval from Administrator, and may submit to the corporate office.
- High School Graduate or G.E.D. with some Business/Accounting experience or courses preferred.
- Computer/spreadsheet experience preferred.
