JOB TITLE: Bran Room Operator
STATUS: Non-Exempt
HOURS: Full-time, all shifts
LOCATION: Golden Ridge-Wynne, AR.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Bran Room Operator is primarily responsible for all activities related to stabilized bran production and shipping. The Operator sets, monitors, and adjusts equipment direct product to proper storage bin, loads product into trucks, loads products into bags, runs quality analyses and performs sanitation activities in the production and storage/shipping areas. The operator must have enough mechanical knowledge to adjust, dissemble and assemble equipment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
1. Ensures raw bran from rice mill arrives at the bran building and equipment
2. Monitor settings and performance of processing equipment
3. Set the path for stabilized bran into the storage bin.
4. Prevent storage bins from overfilling
5. Perform quality analyses on in-process bran and on finished stabilized bran
6. Load bulk trucks and fill out required documentation (scale tickets, BOLs, COAs for example)
7. Load product into sacks
8. Load sacked product into trucks and fill out required documentation
9. Perform sanitation activities during the production run and for shutdown cleaning
10. Utilize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
11. Communicate regularly with shift miller in rice mill

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience:

• 3+ years Rice Mill operations or quality experience, or 5+ years facility manager experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (particularly excel)
• Refined ability to delegate responsibilities and provide leadership and training to key personnel
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Possession of key competencies, including conflict management, business negotiation, organization, and decision-making
• Ability and willingness to cross-train for other key managing areas.

Minimum Required Education: High School degree or equivalent
Preferred Education Level: Associate degree or work-related experience
Special Certifications, Courses, or other Training Required: n/a
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate milling and extrusion equipment, basic office machines such as single and multi-line phones, personal computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, and scanners. May be required to lift to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis. Must show sufficient mechanical aptitude to perform minor maintenance on equipment
OTHER RELEVANT JOB INFORMATION:
Bran Room Operator must exhibit a pleasant demeanor and interact positively with co-workers and management staff. Bran Room Operator will be required to use fork trucks, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Bran Room Operator must be able to use basic mechanical tools – including but not limited to screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets for example. Bran Room Operator must work well in a team environment or alone. Bran Room Operator must be willing to work overtime and non-scheduled hours with short or no notice. Bran Room Operator must show good judgment and be able to re-prioritize tasks as needed.
