The position will report to the SVP of Business Development, the Associate’s main responsibility is the assessment of M&A targets. This includes doing historical financial workups, financial modeling of revenue and expenses, creating investment thesis, and recommending deal structures and valuations. The Associate will be responsible for a portfolio of transactions as designated by leadership.

• Conduct business due diligence on medical practices, inclusive of detailed revenue (CPT) analysis, Quality of Earnings, Operational Diligence, and legal diligence
• Prepare financial models for potential investments, develop proforma models, create investment summaries, and formulating valuations/deal structures
• Lead all aspects of business due diligence
• Own the creation of the investment thesis and present findings and recommendations to leadership
• Assist with the management of 3rd party advisors including business consultants, lawyers, accountants, and tax advisors
• Aid in the structing, drafting, and negotiating terms of transactional documents
• Assist in the development and management of physician compensation models.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and project management skills
• Collaborative team player that is excited by the idea of contributing to a rapidly growing, PE backed healthcare company looking to close deals in the New York area
• 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, corporate development, and/or transaction advisory services
• Healthcare provider practice experience, preferred
• Experience reading and interpreting Tax returns, W2, K1’s, 3 Statement financials
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA), highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, required
