Business Development Representative
Long Island, New York Location

Responsible for providing administrative support to the Director, Business Development, Senior Business Development Managers, and Sr Technical Sales Engineer, to include messaging prospects, coordinating meetings, and providing other outside sales support as needed. Coordinate all activities related to active sales prospects and projects.
Key Responsibilities
Discovers/records contact data of OEM targets that meet ideal buying persona as outlined by the marketing and sales teams.
Sets up and monitors sequences within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to garner initial meetings with sales team.
Supports the team in maintaining CRM accuracy with appropriate contact details required.
Owns Inbound Chats to ensure any potential lead are routed to the proper sales team member.
Manages new customer set up and first orders, and follows-up/tracks orders.
Performs additional duties as requested by management.
May be required to work overtime to meet business needs.
Requirements
BS Degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math. Organized and methodical, with strong technical aptitude. Open to learn scientific applications and processes. Able to effectively present technical information to varied audiences. Experience interacting with mid to upper-level management, with an energetic, ownership and can-do attitude. Working knowledge of MS Office. Working knowledge of Customer/Client Relationship Management (CRM) software a plus.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to sit and use hands. Frequent talking and hearing to communicate on phone with customers and other employees. Must be able to read documents and computer screen and have dexterity to key in data. Occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., pack, ship, and set up trade show booth, product, etc. The Company will review and consider reasonable accommodations that may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
