Our SSA Program is looking for a Business Analyst. This qualified individual C shall coordinate and provide business and technical support for the Financial Statement Audit (FSA), Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) audit, the Financial Management System (FMS) Review, and all other IT audits and/or assessments.
What you will do:
- Analyze business processes, procedures, and policy to identify and document business process, requirements, and rules.
- Read COBOL code and translate logic into pseudo-code and contribute to the development of analysis documentation.
- Analyze data sources and datasets to evaluate and document data content and flows.
- Create and maintain a variety of related artifacts (e.g., requirements, process models or diagrams, data matrices, project deliverables).
- Design and develop applications and complete coding activities using COBOL, REXX, VSAM, DB2, JCL and CICS.
- Develop application test and validation plans and cases, conduct testing activities, and evaluate the results of testing to identify deficiencies, recommend corrective action, and work with customer to refine the application to improve results.
- Plan for and conduct implementation activities.
- Compile and write periodic reports and interface on a daily/weekly basis with customer and Northrop Grumman management.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis.
- Ensure secure coding practices are adhered to in all phases of the secure development lifecycle. Be knowledgeable in all NGC SSA Programs HIPAA compliance requirements and proactively address any HIPAA concerns. Become knowledgeable on the HIPAA policies and procedures for the program and ensure awareness of HIPAA breach process
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 4 years of experience. Additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of the degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in developer/analyst role on modernization or application development projects using a systems lifecycle approach.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in analyzing test data and datasets with use of automated tools (e.g., FileAid, SPUFI, QMF).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mainframe programming knowledge (COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, REXX, CICS, IDMS, ENDEVOR, XPEDITER, INTERTEST).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience developing documentation (requirements, test cases, etc.) in support of the systems development life cycle.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio, Project, Excel, and Word.
- Must be US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green card holder)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mainframe SAS experience.
- Knowledge of SSA infrastructure.
- Prior Federal government experience.
