Under guidance, the Buyer I is responsible for sourcing and procuring equipment, materials, services, vendor management, and other related purchasing activities on behalf of the companies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
Experience
-
2 years of experience in purchasing/procurement required.

2 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing strongly preferred.
JOB DUTIES:
-
Acts as a liaison between vendors and internal customers to resolve purchasing-related issues.

Organize, research, and submit RFQs and RFPs
-
Conduct individual or group negotiations with vendors
-
Participate with cross-functional teams to improve purchasing processes
-
Prepares and executes purchase orders
-
Expedites purchase orders as necessary, and ensures appropriate personnel are informed of status
-
Responsible for the setup, maintenance, organization, and control of purchasing requests in company system
-
Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned by management

Responsible for vendor onboarding and scorecard management

Perform cost comparison and analysis to drive cost reduction and risk management

Other duties as assigned
