Under direction of a cafeteria supervisor, the cafeteria cashier operates cash register in an efficient, accurate and courteous manner. Responsible for maintaining records and statistics.

Requirements :

Education : High school graduate.

Experience : A minimum of one year cashier experience.

Licensure: None.

Skills: Operates a cash register and calculator, excellent customer relation skills.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORT

Some standing. High tolerance for stress due to long lines of customers. Position requires ability to frequently lift light objects less than 20 lbs., perform difficult manipulative, arm-hand steadiness, and hand-eye coordination skills; walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods; see objects closely and hear normal sounds with some background noises. Position requires ability to frequently concentrate on fine detail with interruption and attend to tasks for more than 60 minutes at a time. Individual must be able to understand and relate to the concepts behind specific ideas and remember multiple tasks given over long periods of time.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Pleasant environment, noisy and crowded working conditions. Employee may frequently be exposed to unpleasant noises.
