The long days of summer in the mountains of Aspen Snowmass are packed with opportunities for discovery. Camp Aspen Snowmass provides endless options for adventure. Programs include geocaching, climbing, mountain skill building, fishing, rocket building, mountainboarding, arts and crafts, hiking, and much more.

The Camp Aspen Snowmass Staff Aide works with infants and toddlers and assists the lead teachers in providing quality childcare to each child in the program. This job is perfect for high school students who are looking for summer work and enjoy working with children,

Essential Job Functions

• Must be patient and give special attention to unhappy children.
• Ability to stay calm in stressful and noisy situations.
• Take direction and criticism from a team of teachers.
• Under the supervision of a teacher, needs to be able to handle a small group of children in a safe, fun and learning environment.
• Must be able to move quickly to prevent a child from possible injury.

• Must be 16 years old or older
• Preschool, day camp, babysitting and/or childcare experience preferred
• Ability to speak Spanish or Portuguese helpful.
• Must completed Mandatory Reporter Training

Supervision Given and Received

Supervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Supervision received: Works under direct supervision of the Children's Program Director. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
• Regularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
