Sea West CG Federal Credit Union ($400M in assets) has an employment opportunity for a customer-oriented Card Processor to handle administrative duties pertaining to Visa credit and Master Card debit accounts at our Administrative Office in Oakland. The Card Processor provides quality service to account holders in responding to inquiries, resolving problems, and processing financial transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enters VISA credit and MasterCard debit card applications into systems after approval, orders replacement of lost/stolen cards, and closes cards.
  • Processes payments, cash advances and adjustments; enters account changes, credit limits. Places statuses and authorization flags on accounts to minimize loss exposure to Credit Union.
  • Responds to account holders by telephone, e-mail, or correspondence; assists with account inquiries, problems, adjustments, and changes.
  • Handles retrieval and chargeback requests, processes lost/stolen card reports, and maintains files and reports related to card programs.
  • Processes fraud claims and follows through to ensure proper documentation and filing. Monitors and analyzes suspicious activities on account holders cards/accounts to minimize loss exposure.
  • Reviews critical control reports pertaining to credit card activity.
  • Handles complex card processing, problem resolution, and service issues.
  • Provides account information and technical support to other staff as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • 2 years related work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of FIS (VISA processing system) and COOP a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Working knowledge of applicable banking regulations

Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
