Tenet VP Case Management and Continuing Care leads Tenet’s strategy and execution for all aspects of case management and continuing care clinical and financial services across all Tenet hospitals. Collaborates with Tenet, USPI and Conifer leaders to develop and execute a comprehensive case management strategy to meet the challenges of the evolving payer and regulatory landscape. Responsible for strategic planning, program implementation and case management and continuing care operations to achieve organizational goals for reducing the cost of care while improving quality. Works with corporate office, group, and Conifer leaders to prioritize and optimize case management and continuing care services. Sets enterprise standards for policies, processes and staffing to ensure regulatory and financial compliance. Partners with clinical and operations leaders to design and implement best practices for care delivery across the various sites and settings of care. Directly supervises four national case management directors and indirectly supervises 11 group and 57 hospital directors for case management and continuing care operations.

Oversees clinical, operations and financial programs to optimize case management and continuing care outcomes, processes, and productivity with annual financial impact $20M – 50M annually including responsibility for length of stay, level of care and clinical denials.

• Extensive knowledge of hospital and health system operations, clinical services and finance gained through a minimum of 10 years progressive experience in senior clinical leadership roles.

• Strong functional experience specifically in hospital nursing leadership, case management, process improvement, throughput and efficiency, resource utilization and overall cost management.
  
• Ten years professional experience in a multi-hospital system required.
  
• Strong decision support skills and ability to quantify and report savings impact and cost/benefit analysis. Strong team player able to work with and lead a wide variety and skill-leveled individuals.
  
• Innovative thinker who recognizes and leverages new opportunities.
  
• Strong presentation skills and experienced in public speaking in front of senior leaders and large audiences are a must.

Education/Certifications

• Advanced degree in Business, Nursing and/or Health Care Administration or equivalent experience required.
• Accredited Case Manager (ACM) preferred
• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) required
