Our Culinary Department is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, team oriented individual to be part of the team. The position we are looking to fill is the Cafeteria Cashier. Job includes preparing salads, desserts and/or other required items. The hours are from 7am to 2pm, Monday -Friday. Pay starts at $12.50, depending on experience.

The main objective of the Cashier is to ensure collection of payment for all food sales while following proper service steps, steps for handling transactions, and cash handling policies as set forth by the Loss Prevention Department and the company.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities – Essential Functions

1. Revenue Collection

- Responsible for the collection of payment and making of change for all tabulated food tickets, candies, and other items sold at the cashier station.
- Knowledgeable of all menu items and price offerings.
- Responsible for preparing daily deposits, change order requests, and balancing drawer following cash handling procedures.
- Monitors and maintains adequate line movement.

2. Organization

- Maintains organization throughout the shift in work area.
- Stores all items in their designated labeled areas and eliminates clutter.

3. Teamwork

- Assists other team members when necessary, including announcements, phone management, and Food-To-Go. Asks for help when necessary.
- Assists management in anyway conducive to the efficient operation of the facility.

4. Cleanliness and Sanitation

- Follows standardized cleaning procedures and practices the “clean-as-you-go” philosophy.
- Responsible for following all food safety and sanitation standards throughout the shift.
- Follows departmental closing procedures.
- Performs daily cleaning assignment(s).

5. Communication

- Effectively communicates product, equipment, or operational issues to management in a timely manner.
- Responsible for reviewing schedule and checking out with management before leaving.

Pay: $12.50 - $13.00 per hour
