White Duck Taco Shop is now hiring Cashiers for our all new location opening soon in Mt. Pleasant!

White Duck Taco Shop originated in Asheville, NC and we are excited to call the Charleston area our new home! We offer unique, scratch-made, fusion tacos in a fun and funky atmosphere.

We are a growing company, we always try to promote from within so this is a great opportunity for individuals looking for a place to learn and grow along with.

We are a counter service restaurant whose goal is to provide excellent quality food and service with speed and efficiency. Cashiers are the first point of contact for all of our guests and they set the pace for the flow of service.

Previous experience is preferred for this position but not required if you show the right initiative and confidence to learn quickly.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to follow direction and communicate clearly with management and coworkers
• Must be able to accurately handle cash and guest payments
• Must be able to work in a standing position for 6+ hours
• Weekend availability is required for all staff

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through the menu, answering questions about allergies and diet preferences
• Properly ring in customer orders and process payments
• Properly count and balance the cash drawer at the end of shift
• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages
• Communicate with food runners and kitchen staff when issues arise with item availability, guest complaints, or long ticket times
• Assist in cleaning tasks during slow periods

The starting hourly rate is $15 to $21 and will be based on experience and availability. Tips will be shared among all staff in addition to the hourly rate.
