Job description

East West Staffing, Inc. (EWS) is currently seeking an experienced Central Office Installer.

Requirements of the Central Office Installer

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years preferred
  • Cisco, Nokia, Ciena, Juniper, Fujitsu experience preferred
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electronics, telco -48 volt DC systems and power distribution equipment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of TP76300 or similar installation standards
  • Ability to work on ladders, demonstrated manual dexterity, and lift and carry loads up to 40 lbs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have valid driver's license

Responsibilities of the Central Office Installer

Install network routers, switches, power plants, and other various equipment.

  • Perform installation of telecommunication infrastructure, to include install relay racks, fiber management, ladder rack, top support, etc
  • Perform power verification and power-up.
  • Perform software upgrades on active equipment.
  • Run and connect fiber cables; label all cables and equipment
  • Interpret, test, turn up and read engineering instructions and drawings.
  • Performs additions, removals and modifications on working equipment and cicurit
  • Maintain on-site job records and administration tracking.
