An opportunity at our Walser Polar Mazda Service Department awaits you. We are looking for someone to join our team as an Automotive Technician in a high-volume, team-driven Mazda dealership. This team turns hours, is focused on teamwork, and has an opening for you. You would be part of the team that supports you and provides support to earn certifications through paid training. Our facility is supported with the most current technology and a climate controlled shop.

Automotive Technician Minimum Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be 18 years of age
• High standard for quality and attention to detail

You'll Make an Impact by:

• Examine the assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
• Communicate with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
• Road test vehicles when required
• Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
• Perform customer pay and warranty work
• Help develop technicians at lower skill levels
• Understand, keeps abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Document all work performed on the repair order including proper concern, cause, correction
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager and remain up to date

Autmotive Technician Preferred Skills:

• Automotive Degree or equivalent work experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record to Walser policy and procedures
• Proven experience working within a team environment
• Past experience working with a high level of urgency
• High level of detail orientation and accuracy
