Job Summary
The Charge Specialist will be working on a Main OR unit at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville and support our Surgical team. As a Charge Specialist, you will be responsible for auditing charge documentation for medical supplies and implants, entering invoices into both Epic and Premier systems, and working with both nurses and manufacturer representatives to correct errors and missing information in the documentation.
You will be working from a queue to complete outstanding charges as they relate to medical supplies and materials allocated to the unit. The successful candidate will have a background in materials management and experience with healthcare billing and coding. Additionally, we are seeking someone with strong attention to detail, the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, and customer service experience.

- Reviewing the total number of OR and Endo completed cases.
- Auditing correct charge documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Responding to error and miscellaneous charge audit reports.
- Entering all manual charges and invoices into Epic System.
- Working with materials coordinator and leadership to ensure accurate chart audits and charge capture.
