Chief Programs Officer
Job description
Hope the Mission is seeking a Chief Programs Officer (CPO). The CPO will join our Executive Leadership team and will give oversight to Hope the Mission’s Homeless Intervention and Housing Programs. The CPO will work to support and cultivate Hope the Mission’s expansion as a regional homeless service provider. The CPO will give oversight to a growing team of 300 plus employees and be responsible for the development and cultivation of program leadership and staff. This role will oversee all governmental contracts, help to maintain relationships with key leaders and supporters, and support in the overall representation of Hope the Mission to the public and other constituents. This role will ensure that the programs are growing and thriving to support our participants.
Expertise and Key Responsibilities
In addition to being a vital representative of the organization, the Chief Program Officer:
Responsible for leading our overall Program Department.

Provide strategic leadership to all of Hope the Mission’s Programs. This includes, but is not limited to the functions of Program Development, Interim Housing, Family Shelters, Outreach, Housing Navigation, Housing Stabilization, Permanent Supportive Housing, Recovery Programs, Program learning and development and Regional Program Expansion Planning.

Oversee and provide leadership to program teams and departments.

Expertise in developing policies and standards for program operations and creating training opportunities.

Creating vision for Hope the Mission’s programs and supporting the cultivation of staff to support the vision.

Designing and implementing program performance standards and ensuring that standards are implemented by program staff

Work with Operations, Safety and Compliance to make sure that all program sites are up to code and match compliance requirements.

Oversee and Work with the CFO on program funding and stewardship strategies.

Coordinate with the Development and Community Engagement Department in the preparation of public and private grant applications and work closely to coordinate program goals and explore potential funding opportunities to optimize program expansion
Work closely with the President,CEO, CFO/Finance Team, Senior Directors to develop program-specific budgets and the annual program department budget

Qualifications and experience

Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Services or related fields from an accredited university is preferred -
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Services or related field from an accredited university required.

Minimum of (5) years’ of demonstrated high-level leadership success developing and implementing social service programs with proven experience in program development , contract administration, fiscal management, personnel relations, and strategic planning, for a comparable size or larger organization.

Minimum of 5 years of Senior Leadership experience..

At least one year of related experience is preferred.
