The Opportunity
Specific Duties/Accountabilities
Create installation drawing packages for based on survey data and equipment selection. Drawing types to include General Arrangement, Profile, Site Layout, Elevations, Equipment Arrangement, and installation details.
Perform standard design calculations relative to profiles and elevations for foundations.
Education & Experience
High school graduate or equivalent with specialized training in design and drafting skills equivalent to 2-year trade or technical school training or 1-year college level technical courses or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of Civil layout, and construction. Very organized and detailed oriented.
2 – 5 years design experience.
Preferred Knowledge of mechanical equipment such as, pneumatics, and conduit schedules.
Software Knowledge Required
AutoCAD
Desired:
AutoDesk Revit
Catia or similar 3D Modeling Software
Responsibility for Errors
Moderately high degree of responsibility for accurate drawings for physically and economically sound designs. Verification of work by supervisor may be limited. Errors may reflect inadequate job performance along with the potential of production delays, financial loss and product reliability.
Responsibility for Relationships with Others
Requires frequent contact with project engineers and other departments. Requires ability to work with designers (layout and detail) to produce quality drawings within a reasonable schedule.
Incumbent may be required to perform other duties/responsibilities not specifically listed in this position guideline.
