Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify & classify all tire irregularities. If unsure of classification, hold tire for review Committee.
- Ensure molds that are producing irregularities are taken out of service & the Area Manager is notified. Correct, within parameters, appearance irregularities.
- Re-inspect & make disposition on repaired tires from repair/buff section.
- Accurately enter all irregularity data into the computerized data base.
- Perform other duties as required, such as area housekeeping, Continuous Improvement activities, maintenance calls, assisting in relieving tire jams, etc.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prefer some experience in quality inspection
- Prefer 2 years manufacturing experience
- Functional skills with computers & the ability to work with Windows based programs
- Must be able to communicate clearly & express technical issues
- Detail oriented with the ability to make quick accurate decisions based in available data
