We have an opening for a clinical Research Assistant (CRA) in our ophthalmology department. We are currently running trials focused on retina disease and treatment for diabetic eye disease. The main site will be located in Sewickley, PA associated with the Sewickley Eye Clinic.

The CRA will play an important role for this new program. The position can be part-time but build into full-time. Schedule is flexible, Preferred times are Tuesday and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5 PM. Experience with ophthalmology technician training or clinical trials preferred. Job requires to be on site for patient visits in Sewickley PA.

• The clinical coordinator position requires you to be in clinic with the patients and cannot be done remotely.

Position Requirements

• College Degree preferred

• Certified Ophthalmic Technician Training preferred

• Experience with working in clinical setting or hospital

• Position will be responsible for scheduling patients, assisting with consenting, document completion, billing, and

• Coordinators with ophthalmic experience will be asked to check vision, perform imaging including OCT, uploading images to network, recording clinical exam findings, handling medications, assisting with blood, urine collection, and various patient care related task assigned per protocol.

• Position requires certification training in good clinical practice measures as well as trial specific training.
