C&C Machine, Inc. of La Crosse is in search for a Full-Time, experienced and professional CNC Machinist & Mill Operator for our Job Shop. Monday-Friday, 1st Shift. A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinist is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts and components used in various industries. The job duties of a CNC machinist may include:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine the specifications for the part to be produced.
• Programming and setting up CNC machines to produce parts according to the specifications, using computer software such as CAD/CAM.
• Selecting and installing the appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments on the machine.
• Loading and unloading materials and parts into the machine, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
• Monitoring the machine operation and making adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and accuracy of the parts produced.
• Conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or defective parts.
• Performing quality control checks on the finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators.
• Working collaboratively with other members of the production team, including supervisors and quality control personnel.

The ideal candidate for a CNC machinist position should have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as specialized training in CNC machining. They should possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer software, mathematics, and blueprint reading. Attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are also essential qualities for a successful CNC machinist.
