CNC Mill Operator - 2nd Shift

*** 4-Day, 10 hours -- Enjoy 3-Day weekends! ***

Job Responsibilities:

Effectively and efficiently produces machined parts by operating a CNC mill machine. Preference with experience with Mori Seiki or Brother mill equipment.

Candidates MUST have the ability to monitor and solve machining problems independently.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years machining experience with a wide variety of part types and materials.

Job Duties:

• Operate either Mori Seiki or Brother CNC mills using Fanuc controls; offsets, compensation, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
• Maintains specifications by taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Demonstrate independent thinking and ability to inspect own production parts; must be able to effectively read blueprints.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Min. 3 years previous work experience operating CNC mills
• Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to work after-hours when required
• Ability to check quality of own work
• Ability to read and edit G-code programs and use Fanuc controls
• Maintain a clean work environment
