Summary of Responsibilities:

Develops cost estimates for the bidding process

Professionally manages the sales process on projects

Serves as the project coordinator and the contact person working with customer, engineer, and operations to meet delivery schedules and expectations.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:

Estimate material, labor, and freight for construction projects

Works with Operations Manager and Engineering to form costs and labor on special projects

Generates estimates and proposals for projects

Obtains bidders lists for projects

Assists walk-in customers with product inquiries

Serves as the contact person between customers and production

Ensures drawings are submitted and benchmark dates are met

Maintains project files in an accessible and well-organized manner

Works with Operations and Shipping Manager to ensure delivery of finished product is coordinated with the contractor’s schedule

Experience Required:

Ability to read and understand construction documentation

Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, as well as calculate percentages, area, circumference, periphery, and volume

Must have solid time management and prioritization skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferably a two or four year college degree in construction / engineering related field or equivalent work experience in sales / estimating
