Job description

We are currently seeking a Commis Chef to join our talented team of chefs at the Hilton Dublin Kilmainham.

This position will require flexibility to work varied shifts

The main duties:

• Assist in preparation of mise-en-place for all menus
• Manage the starter, garnish section during service
• Prepare, cook and present food consistently to hotel standards, including staff meals, as instructed by Senior Chefs
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and tidy at all times in compliance with the hotel's and industry hygiene standards

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience as a Commis Chef in a 4* or 3* hotel.
• Have previous experience in a busy kitchen desirable but not a requirement.
• Have a passion for cooking & an interest in progressing as a Chef within the hotel.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are a must as this is a busy, dynamic role.
• Candidates must be flexible to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings and on occasion early mornings.
• Be legally entitled to work full-time in Ireland.
• Previous pastry experience would be an advantage.
