Commissioning Engineer (Mech or Elec)

DECI Ltd. are seeking to appoint Commissioning Engineers with a Mechanical and/or Electrical bias to support our growing Data Centres.

We are committed is to provide cutting edge solutions for our clients Data Centre facilities and are recruiting Commissioning Engineers to join our innovative team. The roles will be responsible for ensuring effective test and commissioning of Data Centre processes within set timescales, including quality and health & safety management.

The Role

  • Requirements Management (able to interrogate Engineering Schedule, Verification & Validation requirements etc).
  • Assist the commissioning engineers and managers with the verification and operation of mechanical/electrical plant and equipment. This includes liaising with specialist sub-contractors and package managers to follow the specific commissioning process from Level 1 to Level 5.
  • Compiling and preparing of commissioning test documentation.
  • Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality. environmental and safety requirements.
  • Attend site commissioning meetings.
  • Provide information for Progress Reports.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work.
  • Good writing skills with a focus on the drafting of test procedures and test coverage files.
  • Understanding and implementation of project engineering procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Attention to Health and Safety matters.
  • Previous experience with internal trades.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience working in data centres.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term, Temporary

Salary: From €50.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Dublin, County Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
