WHAT YOU WILL DO:

This position will support the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR), division of Department of Justice (DOJ). As Communications Admin, you will provide administrative support to our clients and operations teams. This will include drafting and reviewing documents, updating systems and records, maintaining SharePoint, One drive file, and periodic website posts. At times in this role, you may be called upon to assist with virtual meetings, social media posts, and agency branding efforts. Communications, to include website content, agency announcements, basic flier design, press releases, media kits, and speaker notes. You will ensure any content produced for distribution fully conforms to client requirements and specifications, and provide support for the planning, coordination, and development of templates to collect data for use in communication material.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor communication and respond within 24 hours to external requests
  • Make recommendation, while organizing the Departmental Library and Repository
  • Monitor media outlets and update stakeholders around all media related to Immigration
  • Ad hoc communications, stakeholder engagement, and copy-editing tasks as requested
  • Apply experience and content awareness to perform quick turnaround analysis of
  • Recommend standard templates, graphics and content that will be used to brief stakeholders within government.
  • Recommend new or updated content and formatting.
  • Recommend content and layout for PowerPoint presentations including embedded sound and video incorporating campaign/theme graphics and animations aligning with agency messaging.
  • Assess metrics for major social media platforms and campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) for clients and their divisions and recommend improvements to strategy.
  • Recommend content and design for video blogs (vlogs) and short social media video messages for use by the office and the Agency.


WHAT MATTERS TO US:

  • A bachelor's degree in Communications or English preferred.
  • Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) writing style, University of Oxford writing style, and the like.
  • Administrative Support experience or a related role, providing support to a communications team within a government environment.
  • Intermediate or higher skill level using Microsoft Office 365 products.
  • Ability to receive a government security clearance.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Experience editing and proof-reading documents for language, grammar and information accuracy.
  • Knowledge of communication guidelines associated with the media, and government agencies.
  • Must be able to obtain a favorable background check.

WHAT WILL MATTER TO YOU:

Muse Technologies offers its employees' salaries that are commensurate with their experience, and that are market compatible. This position may have multiple duty locations in the Washington, DC metropolitan commuting area. The employee will be expected to report to various work locations as directed without additional compensation for travel.
