Ferrellgas has an exciting opportunity in our Communications Department for a Corporate Intern. As an Intern at Ferrellgas, you will get to work with one of the largest propane retailers in the United States. This role is a 60-day internship that will provide a background into the propane industry and communications field for Ferrellgas and Blue Rhino to help launch a successful career. During this internship, you will work on various projects involving copy-writing, press releases, and participating in a video story series.
The internship will start in June 2023 and will be remote!
Responsibilities:
- Gain an understanding of all aspects of the business, with a focus on corporate communications and public relations.
- Instill and uphold a customer service culture within the company that fosters retention, relationships, and loyalty; and positions the company for increased growth opportunities.
- Partner with key mentors throughout the program.
- Assist managers and staff with projects as assigned.
- Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and other senior staff.
- Follow all company regulations and health and safety codes.
- Learn about conflict resolution and how to address various situations.
- Must be enrolled currently enrolled in college level studies in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills: written and oral.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Superb attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
