Job Description

Circle K Ireland are currently recruiting for the position of Construction Engineer.

This is a full time, permanent role based in Circle K Support Office, Clonskeagh, Dublin 4.

Reporting to the Head of Real Estate Operations, the Construction Engineer will be responsible for driving initiatives to deliver new store developments, fuel infrastructure improvements and/or upgrades, HVO implementation, Car Wash roll outs, estate planning and legislation requirements.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Health and Safety: Promote a culture of positive & proactive HSE behaviour with the ability to understand and identify HSE risks associated with on-site works and implement plans to manage and limit such risks.
• Contract Management: Coordinate the efficient procurement of services for all plant and equipment for our retail estate and negotiate cost effective contracts to meet business needs.
• Process: Ensure appropriate SLAs (Service Level Agreement) are agreed between all parties and manage and report on performance by efficiently managing the relationship with contractors.
• Finance: Manage the capex process, ensuring that projects are processed through Circle K procurement, all costs are identified, approved, and reported to meet agreed budgets.
• Customer Focus: Contribute to and support the business streams in delivering best in class service and equipment up-time.
• Communications and Reporting: Provide clear and concise monthly reporting of cost, and KPI metrics to stakeholders

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in an Engineering environment.
• Experience is a similar multi-site, retail/service environment is a distinct advantage.
• Strong commercial expertise, in particular with regard to fast moving, reactive decision making.
• Strong communication experience and ability to deal with diverse stakeholders.
• Background in preparing budgets and regular reporting on budget status.
• Ability to trouble-shoot, prioritize and resolve unforeseen issues.
