Skye is seeking a Senior Construction Superintendent to join our team! You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
• Allocate resources for assigned projects
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
• Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
• Timelines of completion
• Safety compliance, including safety meetings (weekly)
• The physical construction of the project through daily coordination of all field activities, subcontract administration and code/specifications compliance.
• Acquisition of competent field personnel
• Training of field personnel
• Maintenance of and adherence to the construction schedule
• Selection of methods, systems and techniques of construction for the project
• Labor cost control through daily attention to unit costs and adjustments in crew size or composition, change of construction technique or systems, rearrangement of work activities sequence, etc
• Preparation and timely submission of daily project reports
• Preparation and timely submission of job specific reports such as Job Hazard Analysis, Manpower Counts, Pre-task Form, Tool List, Equipment Inspection, etc.
• Advise home office in a timely manner of both equipment and material needs
• Timely handling of commodity purchasing.
• Perform the following: Arrange for and conduct “project completion” inspection, Prepare punch list, Get punch list work done prior to architect’s final inspection, Prepare as-built documents
• Being totally committed to enforcement for the company’s safety manual.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
• Familiarity with construction management software
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong negotiation skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Quality workmanship by all trades
• An ability to thoroughly understand and follow plans and specifications in the construction of project
• Foresight to predict problems before they develop.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
