The Content Editor will have responsibility for editing YOU!, Lifeway's urban / multi-cultural church curriculum through a strong understanding of and familiarity with churches of diverse makeup and / or in urban settings.

YOU! curriculum. This position will serve Lifeway Publishing by strategically promoting the brand, connecting with customers, and writing content that is biblically accurate, grammatically correct, and in alignment with the brand.

The Content Editor will have responsibility for editing YOU!, Lifeway's urban / multi-cultural church curriculum through a strong understanding of and familiarity with churches of diverse makeup and / or in urban settings.
Responsibilities:
- Creates content that is aligned with Scripture, Baptist Faith, and conservative evangelical theology
- Makes copyfitting decisions
- Responds to appraisal reader evaluations
- Edits content according to style, branding and theological guidelines
- Receives author submissions and initiates payments
- Participates in Bible study scope and outline development
- Develops and improves relationships with vendors, suppliers, customers, internal departments, etc
- Master's degree in theology, Christian education, English, or communications
- Three (3) years experience in an editorial role
- Five (5) years of church staff and denominational experience
- Two (2) years experience with InCopy and similiar publishing tools
- Training / workshop facilitation experience
- Experience managing social media brand presence (Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
- Proficient in MS Office and Google Suites
- Member or attending evangelical Christian church, SBC preferred
