The overall expectations of the Controller are to plan, manage, direct and implement the financial activities for the organization. This position also will serve as primary financial liaison with staff for day-to-day accounting operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates general accounting activities of company’s financial system.
  • Prepares reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Oversees monthly closing of company profit and loss statements, balance sheets and budget variance reports
  • Responsible for proper accruals, reserves, and review of trial balances to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Keeps the CFO informed of performance issues, internal control concerns and provides consultation on accounting matters.
  • Assures that effective communications are maintained within areas of responsibility.
  • Prepares and distributes timely and accurate, monthly financial reports for senior management and field operations management.
  • Performs variance analysis, provides commentary on deviations from plan and forecast and recommends corrective action / opportunities for improvement
  • Assist CFO with preparations of annual budgets and forecasts in accordance with corporate financial requirements
  • Conduct audits of accounts to ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, SOP’s, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Safeguard company assets and ensures financial control.
  • Coordinate activities of external and internal auditors.

The above represents the basic overview of the responsibilities with the intent of increasing compliance to company policies and increased productivity of our business operations team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
