Overview:
The Content Producer/Editor staff writer will produce written content to support all USTA initiatives across the Associations’ digital platforms (USTA.com and USOpen.org) as well as for a variety of collateral/communications/marketing materials for the USTA. The role also requires strong editing skills for the multitude of outside submissions provided to the respective sites. In this role, he/she/they will be an integral member of the story development team and participate in weekly meetings mapping out the editorial strategy to support all USTA programming, including the US
Open. The content editor also will need to possess the technical capabilities to maintain and revise assigned areas of the various websites.

Responsibilities:
  • Production of content for all areas of the USTA’s digital initiatives, with tasks including story generation, feature writing, editing stories/headlines and publishing stories and photos
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to amplify all USTA initiatives, including the US Open
  • Manage technical aspects of building and maintaining pages for USTA.com and other affiliated websites as assigned
  • Assist in strategic planning, implementation and day-to-day coordination of all content for the USTA’s various digital initiatives
  • Assist in planning and execution of USTA presence across a variety of social platforms
  • Oversee content and production for specific “beats” as assigned
  • Contribute to the annual planning and budgeting processes, under the supervision of the assistant managing editor

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in interactive editorial environment. Tennis website preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong writing and editing skills, editorial judgment, creativity; knowledge of AP Style a plus
  • Strong web-specific technical skills, especially relating to the building and maintaining of pages and CMS work
  • Strong working knowledge of web technologies
  • Excellent project management skills, well-organized
  • Knowledge of navigating content management systems
  • Creative thinker
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office and Adobe Photoshop
  • Must be willing to work in a "hybrid/flex" environment which will require both on-site and remote work as designated by USTA, and may be updated from time to time

Pay range in the United States
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Base salary
$58,000/yr - $72,000/yr
