ElectroCraft Corporate Controller

The Corporate Controller will be responsible for providing financial and advisory services and support to the CFO and to corporate management. The individual will consolidate and maintain monthly balance sheets, cash flow, and profit and loss statements, and provide other financial reports as requested. The Corporate Controller is the principal interface for Treasury activities between ElectroCraft’s banks and operating companies. Responsibilities include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses, particularly related to cash flow.

DUTIES:

  • Provide financial statements with supporting schedules needed to perform financial analysis of the operation
  • Maintain and continuously improve the integrity of the multicurrency financial reporting system in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system
  • Responsible for consolidated statements and all other financial information
  • Prepare consolidated financial budgets and projections
  • Provide accounting and analytical leadership of Corporate HQ department
  • Maintain books and corporate records for ElectroCraft’s holding company, including shareholder transactions and payment of dividends and interest
  • Monitor and reconcile daily bank activity between Corporate and Business Units
  • Initiate and fund ACH and wire payments as needed
  • Oversee bank and disbursement activity for UK operating company
  • Maintain reconciliation of ElectroCraft and Parent company bank accounts
  • Optimize ElectroCraft’s capitalization and liquidity. Consolidate weekly update of cash flow projections
  • Work with financial institutions as needed for cash management and collateral reporting
  • Principal interface with external financial audit and tax partners. Coordinate and implement timely recording of estimated tax payments and JE’s
  • Principal interface for bank audits. Conduct internal audits as required
  • Maintain relationships with property insurance, banking, and legal partners.
  • Maintain and report statistical data for insurance renewals, workers’ compensation insurance audits, etc. as needed.
  • Assist in the decision-making process and the company’s financial plans and policies, asset management, and fiscal records maintenance
  • Perform analysis and interpretation of financial results
  • Work with Business Unit Controllers (BUCs) to provide uniform financial data
  • Assist CFO with communication of expectations and deadlines to BUCs
  • Provide oversight and backup of personnel in business units’ Accounting departments in order to coordinate payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, general ledger management, and cash management
  • Work closely with business units’ materials department and cost accounting personnel concerning inventory accuracy
  • Establish, maintain, and follow standard processes, policies, and procedures and/or techniques while performing job tasks
  • Practice continuous process improvement techniques to streamline critical tasks and eliminate non-value added activities

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a mid-sized business or a division of a large corporation is desired.
  • CPA is a strong plus.
  • High levels of integrity and sense of responsibility are a must.
  • Experience with translation and consolidation of financial statements in multiple functional currencies is required.
  • Experience in a privately-owned company is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with Lean business tools, concepts, practices, and procedures is a plus.
  • The successful candidate is open minded, assertive, and has demonstrated ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy, exercising their own judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals.
  • This position reports to the CFO of ElectroCraft

LOCATION:

  • Ideally, the Corporate Controller will be collocated with the Gallipolis, OH operation. Consideration will be given to strong candidates able to work remotely with reasonable access and ability to travel to the principal operating locations, such as metro Cincinnati OH, or Louisville KY
