The Fleet Ballistic Missile Program is seeking a high potential and high performing Cost Account Manager with demonstrated ability to collaborate pro-actively within diverse teams to support program performance execution excellence. This support is likely to span the entire gamut of program execution, including but not limited to fundamental program management tasks such as program planning, risk/opportunity management, cost/schedule integration using EVMS techniques, and the effective use of metrics to monitor program performance throughout the entire program lifecycle.

The successful candidate must be capable of working in an environment that is fast paced, demanding, and requires independent thinking, problem resolution and action with minimal direct oversight by senior management.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with partnering organizations (supply chain, program management, quality, etc.) to ensure all processes are appropriately followed and implemented to ensure smooth product flow throughout the life-cycle.
  • Conducting closed loop corrective action to include thorough variance analysis, monitoring of cost/schedule mitigation activities, and corrective action adjustment as necessary.
  • Completing all Earned Value Management (EVM) assigned duties to include work authorization requests, estimate at complete review, schedule status, variance reporting, and comprehensive estimates at complete.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years experience working with technical leads to manage cost, schedule and/or technical scope.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a Cost Account Manager.
  • Demonstrated experience working with supplier schedules/programmatic and/or integrating performance data.
  • Subcontract Management experience.
  • Experience leading cross functional, diverse teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
  • US citizenship required. Must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Be willing and able to travel as required.
Desired Skills:
  • Risk and Opportunity Management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving complex issues or problems to successful closure.
  • Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early milestones may drive future costs.
  • Experience with hardware manufacturing, performance-based payments, and subcontract management.
  • Desire to enhance Program Management skills including communication, the ability to deal with unforeseen challenges, building strong relationships, and be a change agent for managing our projects better.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) systems.
  • Familiarity with Fleet the Ballistic Missile program, or other Missile/Weapon System programs.
  • Familiarity with the Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) customer organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the customer.
  • Support internal and external customer audits.
  • Excellent communicator both written and orally.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • PMP certification.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, capable of relationship building with customers and employees at all levels and across multiple geographic locations.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
