Job Description

Cost Estimator

Key Responsibilities

• Understanding estimate scope of work documents, project deliverables, schedules, estimate structures and reporting requirements.
• Delivery of accurate and comprehensive estimates in accordance with estimating procedures, standards and practices.
• Support value engineering exercises.
• Participation in cost and schedule quantitative risk analysis workshops
• Collection of cost data for benchmarking and database development
• Take a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a construction cost estimating position
• Minimum of 3 years experience working on infrastructure construction projects in Ireland or the UK
• Membership of a relevant professional organization is an advantage
• Knowledge and proficiency with cost estimating tools
• Strong MS Office skills
