Job: Craft Technician
Company: Diageo/Baileys Original Irish Cream
Location: Nangor Road, Dublin
Contract: Permanent
Salary: €55,000 + shift allowance, share plan, competitive pension, annual bonus, and other additional benefits.
Shifts pattern: 38-hour week, 2 shifts (from 7am to 4pm and from 3pm to 12am) Monday to Thursday. Every second Friday work required during peak times between July and November, a total of 12 Fridays annually.

About the role
As a Mechanical Craft Technician in our dedicated team at the home of Baileys Original Irish Cream in Nangor Road Dublin, you will be responsible for supplying to the achievement of site key performance indicators through production and quality focused operation and maintenance of the site equipment.
You’ll come from a mechanical maintenance background and will have experience working to world class standards of maintenance and continuous improvement within a FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all equipment and the quality of goods leaving the area, ensuring compliance standards such as, Health and Safety, C & E, and Statutory regulations are met.
You will respond promptly and appropriately to plant emergency and breakdown situations as well as other mechanical maintenance tasks, you will analyse, fault find and repair problems to ensure downtime is minimized.
Working with industrial plant maintenance, conveying systems, high speed packaging plant, pneumatic systems, and automated control systems.
You will accurately record and promptly report the outcome of maintenance problems, via the SAP maintenance system, to facilitate the sharing of standard methodology.
Health and safety compliance is key, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring this is supervised.
About you
For this role applicants must have completed a recognised time served mechanical apprenticeship. Post apprenticeship experience in industrial maintenance and mechanical installation/maintenance activities is required ideally within a FMCG environment.
You’ll understand asset performance and maintenance philosophy with excellent process improvement within a manufacturing excellence working environment.
You’ll have demonstrable IT skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous experience in the use and application of computer maintenance management software would be helpful.
