Position: Sales Desk Professional

Duration: 12 Month Contract – ongoing and possibility of being brought on perm

Location: Hebron, KY

For first 6-12 weeks you will be on-site 5 days a week for training. After training, it will be 3 days on-site with Wednesday’s mandatory and 2 remote.

Shift Times: M-F 8-5, 9-6, 10-7

  • 10 days of PTO

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR 2-3 years of experience in a help desk, service desk, sales, or call center environment
  • MS Office Suite proficiency
  • Experience using SAP- recent experience is a must
  • Order Entry/Order Management
  • Strong reliability, ownership, and proactive problem solving

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Sales Desk Professional for a commercial vehicle supplier in Hebron, KY. This position is client facing and spends much of their time processing and managing customer orders and developing customer relationships. Negotiating and/or adjusting delivery dates with agreement of customers; ensuring continuity in supply to customers; reporting of customer orders fulfillment; support in resolving logistic claims; cooperation with production & material planning teams. The products supported include but are not limited to Pneumatic and Hydro ABS Systems, Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Electronically Controlled ABS Components and various ABS values and automated drives assistance systems by interacting with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OES) and Independent Aftermarket (IAM), and dealer network.

Breakdown of Day:

  • Emails from customers – 30%
  • Answering inbound calls – 30%
  • Adding in orders, verifying inventory, verifying pricing, tracking information for orders and add into SAP – 40%

Main roles and responsibilities include:

  • Answer incoming customer phone calls and provide professional first-class sales support.
  • Receive and process orders on behalf of customer in an efficient and accurate manner, as well as providing order status updates, monitoring customer orders, negotiate and adjust delivery dates with agreement of customers.
  • Work with customer to meet customer service fill rate goals, maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively collaborate and communicate with the Key Account Management, Material Planning, and Operations to ensure sufficient quantities of product are available to meet customer demand.
  • Actively work towards meeting KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and SLA’s (Service Level Agreement) targets.
  • Utilize available systems to prepare, analyze, and summarize results of customer demand patterns and fluctuations.
  • Interface with customers and Key Account Managers to resolve issues affecting customer satisfaction and to support key customer account activity.
  • Work directly with customers to better understand their internal processes, key contacts, and communicate this information internally to vested parties as required to improve efficiency of direct reports and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Promote Continual Improvement Philosophy by regularly identifying areas for improvement in processes/organizations that will maximize customer service and satisfaction. Develop potential solutions and propose these solutions
