Responsibilities:
- The customer service representative is responsible for customer service and sales to industrial MRO and OEM customers in the Aerospace, Automotive, Large Equipment and food/beverage industries in our local area
- This individual will be responsible for answering customer calls for new sales and repairs, quoting parts such as electric motors, motor controls and drives, power transmission components, bearings and seals, hydraulic and pneumatic products, conveyor belts and components, lubricants and industrial maintenance chemicals, electric motor and hydraulic repairs in a busy industrial sales office
- Answering incoming customer calls
- Preparing quotes and entering orders
- Processing PO's to vendors for customer needs
- Recommending products for customer needs
- Filing quotes and orders
- Expediting orders and scheduling rush deliveries
- Participate in customer and company events
- Provide sales support to outside sales representatives
- Communicate with management customer issues and sales opportunities
- Ensure high levels of customer service and resolution of customer problems
- Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and take customer orders
- Order and source products
- Maintain an active knowledge of our products, services, and industry
- Work with manufacturing partners and vendors on technical and design issues
- Proactively generate sales and promote Company products
Qualifications
- Excellent phone, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to problem-solve and react effectively to challenges
- The ability to work in a team environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn new things
- Pay will be based on experience. Previous inside sales experience is preferred but Midway is willing to train the right candidate
