Position specific responsibilities for the Customer Service Representative within the Housing Operations team includes:

• Assist with inquiries regarding different residential areas and residence halls, various University departments, and locations of University buildings and services
• Responsible for providing customer service to current residential students, prospective UF students, and families, and guests or visitors
• Assist at University wide events serving as a unit representative promoting the on-campus living experience
• Provide tours of on-campus living spaces to prospective residents
• Responsible for answering incoming phone calls and emails
• Provide guidance regarding campus life and student experiences
• Assist with resolving customer or resident questions and providing the proper resource if necessary
• Maintain and update area procedures, records, and materials
• Create a welcoming environment for all students, families, and visitors by being friendly, courteous, and engaging
• Other duties as assigned

$11.00 per hour

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through Federal Work Study (FWS) or Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

• Minimum of one year customer service experience in professional office setting
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Extensive knowledge of the University of Florida
• Proficient with written and verbal communication
• Demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, dependability, and timeliness
