Alliance for Community Empowerment (ACE) is a community-based organization in the West San Fernando Valley that provides education, workforce development, reentry and gang intervention programming integrated with counseling, mentoring, case management and other support services for marginalized individuals and families. ACE was established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2013 in response to community need. Since its inception, ACE has assisted over 1,200 individuals to overcome barriers by addressing the core issues facing their low-income communities. ACE’s fundamental belief is that when people are provided with the right tools, positive role models and opportunities, they can transform their lives and their communities.
TITLE: Data-Entry Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Administration
PRIMARY FUNDING: YouthSource
POSITION STATUS: Regular/Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Technology Manager
SALARY RANGE: Job Group VI
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
Position: The Data Entry Clerk will work closely with the Technology Manager and program managers to ensure accurate and timely data entry of information into ACE’s Apricot-based participant services information system, as well as related external data systems. Tasks typically involve the transfer and transcription of information from the ACE system to external partner systems, relieving program staff of duplication in required data entry. The Data Entry Clerk will also help to design and prepare report forms, generate standard reports and analyze data for grant proposals and contract reports.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attends and participates in all mandatory meetings
- Fosters positive relationships with community members and partner organizations
- Participate in cultural and community-building activities/events
- Works to incorporate into organizational culture best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion, restorative justice, and trauma-informed care
- Supports ACE Staff with data entry into ACE-designated databases; generates standard reports.
- Assists the Technology Manager in monitoring data systems to ensure accurate and timely data entry into applicable databases.
- Assists Technology Manager in developing the design and structure of ACE data systems
- Collaborates with ACE Staff to run relevant reports for grants and contracts in a timely manner.
- Supports Technology Manager efforts to ensure the accuracy of reports prior to report submission by spot-checking reports.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-year experience in data entry with database and/or spreadsheet software required
- Possess a current California Driver’s License, clean DMV record & adequate auto insurance
- Must submit to a Department of Justice Criminal background check
- Initial TB employment clearance required
