Title:- Data Governance

Location: NYC (Onsite Hybrid)

Mode Of Hiring: Long-term contract

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

· Develop and maintain global data standards, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the creation of standard and high-quality Master data in operations

· Act as a gatekeeper of data governance framework and be the central facilitator and subject matter expert for Master Data Governance

· Identifying and define Critical Data Elements (CDEs), Business Term, Business Rules, Data Sets, Data Attribute, Taxonomies, Tags, Report, Report Attribute.

· Import and publish Business Glossary and definitions, extracting metadata from source system and generate automated end to end technical data lineage.

· Define Data Lineage process and documents Data Lineage activities from source to reporting

· Develop & maintain inventory of the master data universe (Data Catalog) with its meta data, including authoritative systems, assigned owners etc. Help establish data taxonomy and develop business rules for their use

· Help develop and maintain training material and training packages for the end users and key data focal points throughout the year

· Assist Data Quality Consultant with definition of KPIs and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements

· Embed and align Ramboll’s GDPR and information security strategy within the existing data governance framework and any data governance programs and initiatives

· Continuously look for opportunities to identify improvements in processes and tools through reducing data redundancy and appropriate data reuse while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of MDM activities. Working with application management team to handover the new requirements

· Support and supervise information stewardship activities and management of data quality, retention and uses

· Help the effort to create a DQ continuous improvement culture among the data stewards. Ensure data governance policies and practices are embedded throughout the company

· Provide input for Data Owner Group meetings

We are looking for a Data Governance Consultant to join our team and help improve Master Data Governance in this transformation journey and in return strengthen data integrity in HR function first and then other functions in Ramboll.
