GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for receiving, processing and logging all debit card disputes. Responsible for understanding and implementing the requirements for Regulation E. Will also need to understand the role that both STAR Station and MasterCard have in all dispute filings. Will be the primary contact for all staff in regards to disputes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Process debit card disputes and grant provisional credits as needed.
- Maintain monthly spreadsheet and work with accounting to ensure monthly balancing.
- File bond claims when needed and maintain spreadsheet/log.
- Maintain Reg E tracking log, ensure all disputes are entered.
- Ensure dispute filing and finalization are within Reg E requirements.
- Ensure Reg E member notifications are being sent out in accordance with Reg E requirements.
- Will be the primary source of contact for all staff to answer questions on debit card disputes.
- Ensure compliance with Star rules and regulations.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Regulation E and implement updates as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of STAR Station’s process of dispute filing, implement updates as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of MasterCard rules/requirements in relation to dispute filing, implement updates as needed.
- Provide support for Operations Support Department functions, as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with all Credit Union policies and procedures, including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all federal laws and regulations as set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
- Attend conferences, seminars and training courses relating to areas of responsibility.
- Non-member Star or adjustments. Process CAS adjustments/star.
- Complete end of the month balancing with the Accounting department.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Requires professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for communicating with vendors, members and coworkers.
- Work requires knowledge of the Credit Union’s share draft and Star/ATM Debit card services. Also requires knowledge of share draft processing procedures and star processing procedures.
- Requires completion of high school education.
- Requires one to two years previous experience in a financial institution clerical or operations position.
- Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
- Requires PC proficiency and knowledge of Office Suite
