Dentologie in Chicago, IL is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant. As a Dental Assistant, you will be directly responsible for the patient experience as it relates to Dentologie’s Assistant position. You will also be expected to promote the employee culture at Dentologie within the assistant team, along with the rest of Dentologie by leading with a positive and professional demeanor. • Gold Coast : 1201 N Dearborn St , Chicago, IL 60610
• Clark and Diversey : 617 W Diversey Pkwy, Chicago, IL 60614
• Bucktown : 1625 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties
• Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of patients during a variety of operative treatment procedures
• Provide a 10-star Patient experience
• Contribute positively to an engaging corporate culture
• Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures
• Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, orthodontics, pediatric, endodontic, periodontics, prosthodontics and oral surgery.
• Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant ( 4 handed dentistry).
• Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair while preparing them for treatment
• Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment
• Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.
• Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.
• Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment
• Monitor daily supplies for restocking
• Assists the dentist in providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
• Follows infection control protocol by preparing and sterilizing instruments, equipment, and all clinical settings.
